This natural hot spring is set in the most amazing surroundings and is one of the best places to visit in Taipei.
The sulfurous hot spring is typical of the Yangmingshan area, but this one hasn’t been developed by hotels and sits alongside a crystal clear mountain stream. The pools are set in steps going up the mountain and are partially covered by the luscious deep green forest canopy.
It is a short 20 minute walk along a wide path to get to the springs from the road. It is a really popular spot with those in the know and you will probably find people there cooking up eggs and selling them for $10NT!
Weekdays are best, or get there early on a weekend to enjoy this piece of paradise without it being too crowded.
