Caoling Village has the feel of old, British seaside towns that have fallen into disrepair over the years. Hard hit by the 921 earthquake, the numbers of visitors just aren’t what they used to be even though the road coming to town was repaired some years ago. However, despite this, the area is still worth visiting with plenty of hikes, waterfalls and valleys to explore.
The main street in the village has a few restaurants (which all serve similar food) and a couple of convenience stores where you can buy supplies.
