Chengqing Lake

Chengqing Lake is a quiet, natural area on the outskirts of Kaohsiung City. On its ample trails and grounds can be found wildlife, flora and lots of peace and quiet. It has a few interesting attractions such as the Zhongxing Pagoda and the Nine Cornered Bridge, but generally is best thought of as a relaxing place to stroll around.

The Cheng Ching Lake Exotic Marine Life Museum is also located within the park. It is an interesting stop not only for the exotic marine life that can be found there, but also for the fact that it is found in an old tunnel that was built for protection against a nuclear attack.

Chengqing Lake is located about 7km from Kaohsiung Railway Station. It can be accessed by buses 60, 70 and 79.
