With at least 2 launch sites in the area, paragliding is popular at Gaotai. Companies provide the equipment, so all that’s needed is to strap yourself to your instructor and enjoy the flying sensation as you sail high above the rift valley.
Paragliding costs around NT$1500 per person, helmets and locally grown pineapples are provided (as of course is insurance, bring some ID). Not recommended for the faint hearted or anyone afraid of heights!
