This flower market (and the Jade Market) are only open on weekends and located underneath the overpass on Jianguo Road, which in itself makes for an interesting comparison the beautiful color laden flowers underneath one of Taipei’s concrete monstrosities.
The market is packed with happy visitors every weekend, enjoying the flowers and the holiday feeling that the market seems to bring to everyone. The flowers available are just amazing, too. You can find anything here, from bonsai trees to cacti to orchids and everything in between.
It is also a great place to pick up fresh herbs and chilies, too. Make sure you find the Chinese characters first for whatever you are looking for, it will probably save you a lot of time!
