Not to be confused with the Kenting National Park. This recreation area is a short, but scenic drive up from the main Kenting Street. Although most visitors tend to come to Taiwan for the beaches, this is an interesting park to spend an hour or two looking around.
Many years ago, this entire area was an undersea coral reef, which along with the tropical climate accounts for the park’s environment. Highlights include the 127 meter long limestone Xian (Fairy) Cave, and the ocean viewing building (which includes a basic cafeteria). Maps and information are available from the visitors center, and you will need them to find your way around the many trails in the park.
