This museum not only contains some incredible archaeological artifacts, but is housed in one of the most architecturally stunning buildings in Taipei. Even the discovery of the site that the museum was built on makes for an interesting story.
Inside the museum, there are many exhibits of interest, all with excellent explanations in English. The museum not only details the discovery of the Shisanhang site, but also has a great deal of general information about archeology in general. You will also want to spend a lot of time admiring the building from the outside. Read about the concepts behind the buildings design, and you will be even more in awe.
The museum is also very kid friendly with a lot of interactive activities for them to enjoy. Guided tours are available in English and the staff at this museum are particularly helpful in this respect.
