Shitiping is a small fishing port that has some really impressive scenery. This is a good chance to marvel at the amazing rock formations jutting out from the sea and grab some food and stretch your legs. The visitor center has some interesting displays, and it is worth looking in before exploring around nearby.
Shitiping’s campground consists of A frame wooden platforms inside which travelers can pitch their tents to protect them from the elements (although not from the heat, which at sea level can be stifling in the summer). Drift off to sleep to the sound of the waves rolling in from the Pacific, then watch the sunrise over the interesting rock formations.

One of the best campgrounds in Taiwan and the world! Tie your rainfly to the east side of the A frame so the sun doesn’t wake you up at 6am!
